Course target
To provide an insight into the basics of manual testing of information systems and the necessary skills to start a successful career in the IT industry.
Audience
The training is suitable for everyone, including people without prior knowledge and experience in the IT sector.
At course completion you will be able to
- Independently analyze documentation and perform manual testing according to Black Box testing methods;
- Handle management tool JIRA and write down defects;
- Write test scenarios by using X-Ray tool;
- Use basic commands in using databases;
- Use basic requests to process Application Programming Interface (API);
- Understand how software is built using an Agile approach.
Prerequisites
There are no specific prerequisites.
Training materials
A presentation prepared by BDA and practical tasks in the Moodle environment.
Certification Exam
Not intended.
Course outline
- Introduction to testing;
- Black Box testing, testing methods;
- Software development life cycle (SDLC) process with Agile approach;
- Usage of management tools JIRA and X-ray in defect management and writing test scenarios;
- Test cases, a set of actions for system functionality;
- Defect life cycle, life cycle of defects in testing;
- Data Base (SQL lite), use of databases;
- API Postman, request processing;
- Mobile Device Testing, mobile app functionality.
