Course Target
Promote the acquisition of knowledge and skills on:
- user interface (UI) and user experience (UX) design basics using the Figma tool;
- UI/UX design basics, typography, color theory, iconography and layout;
- prototyping process and usability testing.
Audience
Representatives of various professions who want to learn the design tool Figma, learning to create practical and visually appealing digital products.

Introductory lecture
- What is Figma, what features this tool offers;
- Using Figma in a browser and installing it on a computer.
Basics of Graphic Design
- 10 basic principles of design;
- Fonts (usability guidelines, useful resources);
- Colors (color theory, usability, useful resources).
Figma Basics of Use
- Creating projects and pages;
- Frame usage and various equipment;
- Layers System;
- Form and line elements, their individual settings;
- Text elements;
- Element properties and common settings;
- Element effects;
- Element combining;
- Repair and change of elements;
- Figma community;
- Plugins and their usage – icons, photos, element effects, illustrations.
Figma UI/UX Design Basic Principles
- Creation of moodboard;
- Creation of graphic identity;
- Creation of design system;
- Using the auto-layout function to create responsive design;
- Creating components (buttons, maps, sections);
- Basic principles of WEB design structure (layout & grid).
Figma UI/UX Design Development (WEB + mobile version)
- Creating low fidelity wireframe;
- Creating main menu;
- Creating home section;
- Development of the service page;
- Development of the offer page;
- Adapting the design to mobile screens.
Figma Prototyping
- Basic principles of prototyping;
- Prototyping of more complex sets of elements (horizontal scroll);
- Creating animations.
Usability and Testing
- What is usability and testing;
- Basic principles of design thinking;
- Audience definition and hypotheses;
- Defining test scenarios and tasks;
- Testing environment and tools (video call, Maze, UXtweak);
- A/B testing, preference tests, measurement of indicators (time, errors);
- Use of results, identification of problems, further improvements.
